We offer our popular sommelier-guided wine/whiskey tastings in virtual format, online via Zoom video conference. No special software is needed, participants just join via a browser link that we provide. Groups from 1 to 300 work well, but for best interaction levels choose up to 25 attendees. On Zoom everybody can see everyone else, which makes the sessions very social. Normal duration is 1 hour.
We are able to ship wines or whiskeys for each participant, and also offer engaging “dry” sessions on the “secrets of the sommeliers” if preferred. Full Description of our Virtual Tasting Event Approach for Your Internal Use:
Many business managers are currently looking for effective approaches to connecting with their clients again. While in-person meetings are not possible, face-to-face options exist that can combine reconnecting and spending time together.
The Sommelier Company has offered entertaining and insightful Sommelier-Guided Wine & Whiskey Tasting Experiences in a virtual format for many years, via Zoom or Cisco WebEx.
During a one-hour on-screen and interactive tasting session, attendees enjoy a guided tasting "Secrets of the Sommeliers" while being fully involved, actively tasting along and sharing impressions, and talking to the management team during the session.
The Sommelier Company sends identical packages of 3 wines or 2 whiskeys to each attendee address, so that all can actually enjoy a tasting together. The presenting sommelier (our owner and certified sommelier Jörn Kleinhans, PhD, CFA for some sessions) may or may not alternate with a manager during the talk/presentation, and there may or may not be a slide show, all based on manager preference. Group sizes have no limitation, but groups of 25 work best for everyone to actually see and greet each other.
